Apple to Announce New Products


Apple is all set to release a new line of products that are targeted towards the students. That is what it looks like based on the company’s views to bring in entry-level iPads and that are particularly focusing on the education market.

The company will hold a press event in Chicago on March 27 and there are talks doing rounds that Apple will unveil what is known to be the cheapest iPad from its line. However, there are also other products that will be included in the launch. Here, we take a look at some of the products that Apple is set to launch.

New iPads

Apple seems to be ready to launch an updated version of its iPad Air 2 that was launched last year. It has 9.7-inch retina display is equipped with an A9 chip that was introduced with the iPhone 6S. The new iPad, dubbed just as Pad will cost $320 for a 32GB version. It is also expected to include a True Tone display, new iOS features and other faster components for better performance.

Cheaper Macbooks

Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst at KGI securities announced at the beginning of this month that Apple will soon launch Macbook Air that will be much cheaper than its earlier counterparts. The price range was also rumoured to be anything between $799 and $899 for the new Macbooks. However, a report from Digitimes also suggested that the price will be much less than that.

Wireless Chargers

During the iPhone X reveal, Apple announced that it will soon find an answer to the charging problems with its introduction of new wireless charging called as the AIrPower. There were some rumours on the launch of the new gadget and it was said to be unveiled in March, which is now!

Support for Apple Pencil

Apple’s Pencil is in high demand since its introduction but it is very expensive and works well only with expensive Apple devices like the iPad Pro. Again, Ming-Chi Kuo, of KGI securities said that the company is planning Pencil Support aimed at the new iPad discussed above. But no one knows whether the company will introduce a low-priced Pencil or extend its support for existing devices.

New Educational Software

Tech enthusiasts believe that the occasion will focus on education-centric software and coding initiatives as it is an educational event. Recently, it was reported that Apple was developing ClassKit – n educational development framework that will be included in its latest version of iOS 11.3. It will allow many educational app developers to create new apps based on questionnaires filled by the students and shared with teachers through iCloud.
