1. The Tower of London
This tower, iconic to the city of London and reflecting its cultural heritage, is home to many stories, myths and legends. It is still believed that the beefeaters live here with their families and all have their experiences of ghosts here. One beefeater is even said to have seen a teddy bear floating in the air.
2. Catacombs of Paris
This is one of those places on earth where you’ll find yourself looking behind you once in a while due to that eerie experience you sense when a dead man is following you. You get a sense of living history as you go through seeing endless skulls and bones for over 1.6 kilo meters.
3. The White House, USA
White House too has a good share of spooky stories – all experienced by the staff and people living there over the years. Abraham Lincoln’s son, who died of a typhoid-like disease, is supposedly believed to be visiting his mother Mary Todd. Years later, many people said that they’ve witnessed the ghost of a boy walking in the grounds.
4. The Dean House, Canada
This place was actually a boarding house. And there are many stories of suicides at this place when it served as a boarding house. Visitors have many times complained of footsteps that are heard almost all the times. Some have witnessed the ghost of a man who appears at the basement. To add to all these spooky experiences, sometimes the piano also plays on its own.
5. Old Angel Inn, Niagara-on-the-Lake
There are stories doing rounds about a soldier who was supposed to be killed there by the Americans during the War of 1812. The soldier’s ghost still visits the place and many have experienced and explained sightings. Visitors and management claim that as long as no American beer is served; the ghost is at peace.
