What happens when a poor man falls for a rich girl? The financial complications, the insecurities, the misunderstandings and let’s not forget, the sermons we audience listen in such stories on the silver screen. Director Jayashankarr’s Paper Boy is no different. The son of Varsham fame Director Shoban, Santosh Shoban tried his luck in the avatar of a Paper Boy, after making debut with Thanu Nenu in 2015.

Ravi (Santosh Sobhan) is a paper boy who is also an engineering graduate. He decides to work as a paper boy to not to waste his time. He is impressed by a girl and his mentality which resemble him and falls for her. He gets to know her as Dharani (Priya Shri). They both become close and falls for each other despite the difference of their status. But her brothers don’t like it and threaten Ravi, who leaves the city along with his family. How Dharani finds Ravi, how she gets her love back, how she convinces her family? Is the remaining part of the story.

Santosh Sobhan as Paper boy Ravi is good and has done a fine work in the role. Priya Shri as Dharani is good. Vidyullekha Raman is good in the brief role. Tanya Hope is fine. All the actors in the hero friends batch like Mahesh Vitta and others generate few laughs. Bithri Sathi is humorous. Songs composed by Beems Cecerilio are good. Paper Boy is a clean and breezy entertainer that sends home the audience with the satisfaction of watching a good film.
