Raj Tharun, who is going through a series of flops has come up with his new film Lover. Produced by Dil Raju, this film has hit the screens. As its title suggests, Lover is a romance drama with a good dose of comedy. The movie deals with a routine story and has hardly anything fresh to offer.

Set in the backdrop of Ananthapuram, ‘Lover’ is the story of Raju (Raj Tarun) – a custom car bike mechanic by profession. Raju who lost his parents in childhood lives with his brother’s (Rajiv Kanakala) family. Raju falls in love with a malayalee nurse charitha (Riddhi). Charitha moves to kerala to protect herself from a hospital mafia. Raju follows her and so are the villains. Rest of the story is about why and how the villains are trying to attack Charitha, how Raju protects her. Who wins is an easy guess though.

Raj Tarun is reliable and casually pulls off the lover role with ease. The many films he has done playing the same character helps in engaging onscreen, but there is also a feeling of repetitiveness which can’t be missed. Riddhi Kumar looks lovely and is apt for a part that requires her to be the same. Rajiv Kanakala got a role which scores sympathy. Ajay, Sachin khedekar and Subbaraju are the villainy gang. Praveen, Satyam Rajesh, satya form the hero’s friends but their roles failed to generate comedy. Watch the movie, if only you have time.
