Ever taken a long road trip that you absolutely hated because of how tiring it was and how the people with you were plain boring? Of course, you have. Powerhouse performer Irrfan Khan’s new film Karwaan, directed by Akarsh Khurana, will make you want to take more road trips. Karwaan is the Hindi film debut for the Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan. It is also the first time YouTube sensation Mithila Palkar was cast in a meatier Bollywood role.

The news of his father’s sudden death takes Avinash (Dulquer) and his friend Shaukat (Irrfan) from Bengaluru to Kochi, a journey that gives them time to introspect on their lives. Avinash, a dejected soul stuck in a dead-end job shares a strange relationship with his father. He holds him responsible for crushing his dreams. However, he is left pondering upon this longstanding hatred when he hears of his father’s untimely demise. Sometimes getting lost is the best way to find yourself. This lies at the heart of Karwaan.

Irrfan Khan outshines the rest of the cast. The actor is so effortless in the film as Shaukat. The actor’s witty one-liners were quite a craze when the trailer was released. The charming Dulquer Salmaan makes a decent debut with Karwaan and aces Hindi. Mithila Palkar does a tremendous job as a young and unapologetic Tanya. Karwaan is one of those films that will leave you with a smile on your face.  Watch Karwaan for a unique story, super performances and hilarious dialogues.
